Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cryptography Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge encryption and decryption solutions for S-Band X-Band and Ka-Band communications.
Key responsibilities:
As a Cryptography Specialist you will be responsible for:
- User Security Requirements Collection - Gather and analyse potential user security requirements and relevant laws regarding encryption/decryption functionalities and cybersecurity from national and international customers. Apply these requirements to dual-use small satellites.
- Threat Scenario Development - Collect or develop threat scenarios to be addressed by designated cryptographic functionalities. Develop a comprehensive crypto concept to mitigate identified threats.
- Technical Evaluation - Assess the need for dedicated hardware solutions versus software-on-the-chip solutions for heritage On-Board Computer (OBC) units. Derive technical specifications for the crypto subsystem including transceivers antennas amplifiers filters and encryption/decryption modules.
- Market Research - Perform market research to identify available crypto units or subsystem hardware suitable for small satellite platforms. Focus on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) power demand mass available data rates and security levels.
- System Architecture Development - Develop a system architecture document outlining the crypto subsystem components and their interactions. Include block diagrams flowcharts and descriptions of the overall system design differentiating between S-Band X-Band and Ka-Band.
- Software Development - Define a software development plan to model the crypto subsystem. Ensure the software includes data throughput analysis and extends heritage satellite simulators. Develop a software simulator as part of the small satellite simulator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Cryptography Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in cryptographic systems development and implementation.
- Strong understanding of satellite communication bands (S-Band X-Band Ka-Band).
- Proficiency in software development and simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
