Director of Marketing and Communications

Are you an experienced and knowledgeableDirector of Marketing and Communicationswith 10 years in a leadership role preferably within the professional services sector This is your opportunity to shape the future of an ambitious accounting & advisory business.

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing implementing and overseeing strategic marketing and communication initiatives that drive brand awareness engagement and business growth. This leadership role requires a dynamic and experienced professional with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams collaborate across departments and execute campaigns that resonate with target audiences.

The Director will oversee internal and external communications public relations digital marketing strategies content creation and corporate branding efforts.

As a Director of Marketing and Communications youll play a valuable role developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with BKLs business goals and objectives.

You will:

  • Establish a new team within the business from the recruitment of new team members to embedding new roles for those currently in the team
  • Be expected to successfully manage multiple brands through M&A activities demonstrating the use of clear processes to achieve timely integration with success being evidenced through data
  • Regularly present and provide reports to the senior leadership stepping in if the Chief Growth Officer is unable to attend
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan in line with the overall strategy ensuring buy-in from the business at all points
  • Manage and mentor the team developing careers that will support BKLs growth
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their specific needs and align marketing efforts to meet that
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities
  • Develop branding strategies and work with agencies to enhance the companys image
  • Be involved and take a leading role in influencing internal communications
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively
  • Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative PR strategies
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with corporate identity and brand guidelines
  • Track KPIs to measure the impact of marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Optimise digital marketing strategies including SEO social media and email campaigns
  • Drive customer engagement and retention strategies
  • Plan and manage marketing events trade shows and promotional activities

Youll be ideal for this role if you have:

  • Proven experience operating and leading at Director level or equivalent level within the professional services industry
  • Proven success with establishing new teams and embedding new roles within a marketing function
  • Previously been responsible for successfully managing multiple brands through M&A activities
  • Expertise in brand management and evolution
  • Worked within a PE backed business environment
  • In relation to the integration of brands been able to demonstrate the use of clear processes to achieve timely integration with success being evidenced through data
  • Experience in regularly presenting and providing reports to executive committee and board members
  • Proven in your career that you are guided by strategy you focus on planning and ensure successful implementation in relation to all marketing activities
  • Been able to ensure business buy-in to support all of the above
  • A track record of innovative thinking to promote growth in a B2B client base
  • Evidence of expertise in using data to drive effective behavioural change

BKL operates a framework of policies and procedures which includes information security and data protection policies. The post holder is responsible for maintaining awareness of these and complying with them at all times. Failure to follow the requirements of a BKL policy may result in disciplinary action being taken.
