1 month contract with local authority
- Supporting the Team Manager (Universal Safe Spaces ) in the day-to-day operational delivery of universal safe spaces for young people in the borough
- Managing Youth Support Workers-in-Charge and ensuring the delivery of high-quality face-to-face sessions for young people
- Developing and implementing a boroughwide Youth Work Strategy and Delivery Model
- Planning and implementing year-round program plans in collaboration with the team
- Engaging vulnerable young people and facilitating their holistic development
- Ensuring accessibility and equitable opportunities for all young people
- Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting effective communication with staff volunteers and partners
- Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external agencies
- Contributing to the wider communication strategy within the service Council community and partners
- Providing information advice guidance and support to the youth work team
- Participating in team service division and directorate meetings
- Keeping abreast of legislative guidance policy developments and good practice in Youth Work
- Maintaining personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the role
- Discharging all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the council s policies and procedures Code of Conduct and relevant regulations and legislation
- Undertaking additional duties as required including working across other areas of the Young Tower Hamlets

- Relevant experience in youth work or a related field
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health and safety regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to develop and implement youth work strategies
- Understanding of the needs of young people and the ability to engage with vulnerable individuals
- Commitment to equality diversity and inclusion
- Flexibility to undertake additional duties as required
