Job Description

Overall Purpose and Objective of Position 

As a Trade Assistant for the Coffee Platform at Louis Dreyfus Company you will provide vital support to the Marketing team by managing day-to-day operations facilitating communication between stakeholders and ensuring seamless execution of transactions. This role requires strong organizational skills data management and entry reporting/analyzing and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions 

  • Assist commercial sales team; position reporting sample requests AR reporting pricing etc.  
  • Become an expert of business execution flows and processes. 
  • Assist in tracking inventory levels and managing stock. 
  • Provide backup on Sales desk price fixations contract entry sampling/allocations CRM entries etc.  
  • Ad-hoc projects and day-to-day tasks to be assigned.  

Sales Support: 

  • Help manage customer relationships and respond to inquiries as a support to the marketing teams
  • Accurately manage and update SPOT inventory list  

Team Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the trading team and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiencies. 
  • Liaise with traders freight and LDC coffee origins to support execution of trade  

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Arrange and schedule trade shows: SCTA coffee Dinner World of Coffee etc 
  • Assisting with onboarding of new clients  

Qualifications :

Experience 

  • Bachelors degree 
  • International logistics or trade 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines under pressure  
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral 
  • Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Detail oriented with high attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written
