Job Description
Ensure all logistics and quality control activities of the company in Medan to be executed correctly and on time including but not limited to the following:
Inbound
Follow up deliveries from suppliers report arrival weights and bag counts.
Draw representative sample of the arrival green grade cup and report results. Send sample to the head office lab.
Production & Inventory
Coordinate with production warehouses to ensure timely processing to meet contract shipment.
Monitor and record production yields and quality. Ensure production quality matches contract grade. Report on quality results for undergrads.
Maintain inventory records of all grades across multiple warehouses. Conduct monthly closing inventory stock count and reporting.
Outbound (Local):
Coordinate with warehouse to prepare goods for shipment.
Monitor and report outbound shipment weights and bag counts.
Maintain shipment samples and quality reports.
Outbound (Exports)
Coordinate with exporters to draw shipment samples prior to bagging. Report quality results (green grading and cupping) to ensure alignment with PSS (pre-shipment samples). If required coordinate with exporter to re-process coffee to meet contract specs.
Monitor shipment stuffing ensuring bag marks packaging and bag count matches the contract. Send the stuffing report within one day of stuffing.
Quality Control
Calibrate with Quality Supervisor to ensure consistent green grading and cupping results between Medan lab and other labs.
Roast samples set up & clean up cuppings report cupping results in Tastify.
Maintain a clean and tidy quality lab.
Update logistics and quality files regularly.
Maintain good relationships with vendors and exporters.
Assist Logistics Team in communication/follow up of 3rd party exports out of Indonesia when required.
Align with Group Logistics strategies and implement all collaborative logistics tools such as Cargoo Teams Sharepoint shared mailbox etc.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years in related role such as warehouse production exports or quality assurance with a coffee company.
Basic English proficiency at minimum.
Good sense of organization and self-discipline
Ability to work independently
Attention to / focus on details
Analytical skills - Information gathering & analysis
Ability to work under pressure and respond to tight deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook
Preferably live within Medan area
