Senior Quality Engineer

Job requirements
- We are looking for a Data Quality Engineer who combines a strong understanding of data validation and application testing with hands-on SQL expertise.
- This role ensures data accuracy consistency and integrity across systems while also contributing to end-to-end testing of applications that consume or produce data.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Data Quality & Validation: Develop and execute data quality test cases to validate accuracy completeness and reliability of datasets.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data profiling validation and root cause analysis.
- Identify document and track data quality issues; work with engineering and business teams to resolve them.
- Validate data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure consistent flow and transformation.
- Application Testing: Perform functional integration and regression testing on applications related to data ingestion processing and reporting.
- Collaborate with QA Data Engineers and Developers to ensure data is accurately reflected across systems.
- Design and execute test plans for APIs and user interfaces that interact with underlying data.
- Maintain test documentation logs and bug reports in tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with business analysts and product owners to understand data requirements and test expectations.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like stand-ups sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Create clear test reports and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
