Are you a confident people leader with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement Join the Incident Notification and Emergency Response Unit in the Health Safety and Staff Wellbeing Directorate where your work will directly impact the safety and well-being of school communities across NSW.

As the Leader Incident Notification youll lead a team delivering frontline incident reporting services via the Departments Incident Report and Support Hotline in a busy contact centre environment. Youll guide and mentor your team to ensure incidents and injuries are accurately reported triaged and escalated in a timely manner making a real difference in high-pressure real-world situations.

About the role

As a Leader Incident Notification you will lead a team responsible for managing the Departments Incident Report and Support Hotline. Youll play a key role in ensuring timely accurate and high quality incident notification and support services across NSW schools and workplaces. The role is central to maintaining the Departments commitment to safety compliance and continuous service improvement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a team to deliver high-quality support and incident notification services in accordance with operational and departmental policies.
  • Collaborating with the manager to develop and implement policies programs and initiatives that meet the needs of customers across operational directorates.
  • Designing and using performance metrics to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of key programs and services.
  • Fostering strong working relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to improve incident notification service delivery.
  • Monitoring analysing and reporting on team performance identifying trends emerging issues and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Preparing high-quality reports briefing notes submissions and correspondence to support informed decision-making by senior executives.
  • Representing the department on interagency committees and working groups and ensure after-hours support is available for serious incidents or emergencies.
