Job Description

Teacher / **Welding**

The Teacher/Career & Technical Educationis responsible for teaching TN State Standards and leading high school students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual emotional psychological growth and maturation.This full time position DOES include benefits.

Applicants must have a current valid educator license with appropriate endorsement. Must have strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law. Must meet health and physical requirements.

Welding

The teacher should have a mission to prepare students for the welding industry.

Applicants must have a current valid educator occupational license with appropriate endorsement (584 or 705) or willingness to obtain. Welding Certification required (AWS U.S. Dept. of Labor Office of Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship or Certified Welding Educator Certification NOCTI Welding 5279).

Occupational work experience and/or education may include:
Five (5) years of relevant work experience completed within the last ten (10) years or
One (1) year of relevant work experience completed within the last ten (10) year and an Associate degree in welding/fabrication or
Bachelors degree in welding/fabrication
