Job Description
Part-Time Soil Field Service Technician
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for collecting soil samples at construction site in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and environmental teams by ensuring the accurate and timely collection of soil samples for analysis.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to construction sites to collect soil samples according to project requirements
- Ensure proper labeling documentation and preservation of soil samples to maintain sample integrity during transportation and storage
- Communicate effectively with project managers engineers and other team members to coordinate sampling activities and address any site-specific considerations
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of field equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy in sampling operations
- Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in soil sampling techniques equipment operation and safety procedures
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in soil testing or CMT work
- ACI Certification required
- Troxler nuclear gauge certificate strongly preferred
- Familiarity with soil sampling techniques equipment and industry standards is advantageous
