As Vice President Domain Architect within the Fidelity Institutional (FI) Product & Business Enablement organization you will lead the architectural solution design for some of the most complex and strategically important areas of the business. Youll be responsible for developing scalable secure and forward-looking technology solutions that align with Fidelitys long-term objectives. Your work will span business applications cloud infrastructure and emerging AI capabilities all with the goal of driving innovation and sustainable growth.
Fidelity Institutional delivers investment trading and technology solutions to institutional clients including registered investment advisors broker-dealers and institutional investors. Our offerings include proprietary investment productssuch as alternative investments and active ETFsdistributed through platforms like FundsNetwork and Wealth Advisor Solutions. We also provide institutional-grade equity and fixed income trading platforms prime brokerage and securities lending services all supported by robust data and analytics.
In this role youll combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to translate strategic goals into actionable IT capabilities. Youll lead architectural governance promote enterprise standards and assess emerging technologies to shape future-ready solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively and influence across diverse teams will be essential as will your pragmatic approach to balancing innovation with execution.
Youll support a broad and diverse portfolio that includes Institutional Distribution Fidelity Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) FI CRM Enablement FI Digital Engagement Client & Fund Services and FundsNetwork. These domains encompass Sales Service and Marketing platforms as well as Referral Tools used across FI and IWMS. Your architectural leadership will enable these functions through modern integrated and resilient technology ecosystems.
To excelin this role youll need deep expertise in AWS and cloud architecture along with experience across a wide range of technologies including external web platforms web security APIs Salesforce and content management systems. Familiarity with AI/ML and data platforms is highly desirable. A background in financial services or other regulated industries is essential and your ability to manage third-party vendor relationships will be key to delivering secure and compliant solutions.
Youll work across domains such as Sales (Salesforce) Marketing (content management marketing automation) Servicing (transfer agency systems secure external web) and Data and AI/ML. Your architectural oversight will extend to end-to-end external sites that support multiple business lines.
Your success will be defined by your ability to lead with clarity foster cross-functional alignment and deliver practical scalable solutions. As a visible leader and advocate for architectural excellence youll help elevate solution architecture practices within FI Product & Business Enablement and across Fidelity.
The Expertise You Have
Education BS or MS required
Experience leading technical architects technology governance and complex solution design
12 years of experience in building distributed systems and applications and Cloud database technologies.
Expertise in AWS and cloud architecture with a strong focus on designing scalable secure and resilient cloud-native solutions
Proven experience in external web platform design including web security and API integration
Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce architecture and implementation particularly within Sales and Service domains
Proficiency in content management systems and digital marketing technologies including SEO search and marketing automation
Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and data platforms with the ability to assess and integrate emerging capabilities
Solid background in financial services or other regulated industries with a deep understanding of compliance security and governance requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead architectural governance enforce enterprise standards and align technology with business strategy
Experience managing third-party vendor solutions ensuring secure compliant and high-performing integrations
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable cross-domain IT solutions
Skill in analyzing business direction and challenges understanding long-term vision and risk and guiding strategic technical solutions
Experience collaborating with product managers architects and technical leads to evaluate recommend and configure technologies aligned with long-term strategy
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across teams and constructively challenge decisions to support strategic goals
Financial industry experience preferred particularly within brokerage
