JOB DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent in this position will serve as a Government Operations Consultant II (GOCII) for the Division of Blind Services (DBS) providing direct support to the Program Administrator Deputy Director Division Director and Workforce Coordinator. The GOCII serves in a highly responsible administrative coordination and support role. The incumbent is a team player whose duties are essential to the work of the DBS State Office leadership team and the Florida Department of Education. The incumbent will model and demonstrate the principles of flexibility adaptability and approachability while adhering to applicable laws rules policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include planning monitoring and evaluating on statewide rehabilitative programs within the Division; ensuring organizational policies are up-to-date consistently written and maintained on the intranet and internet; regularly reviews programmatic actions for compliance standards and reports findings to the Program Administrator; serves as the Personnel Liaison for the Deputy Director and Program Administrator which involves preparing personnel actions and presenting recommendations to the Program Administrator Deputy Director and Division Director as needed.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment/volunteer undergo Level 2 background screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435 Florida Statutes as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
