Summer Learning Program Teachers

Anticipated period of assignment : June 30 - July 22 2025

Vacancy Details: 56 hours in total (15 days with 3 hours per day of learning with students; 7.5 hours prep/marking/communication with families ; 3.5 hours of training to occur Monday June 30th )

District School Board Ontario North East is providing a Summer Learning Program for mathematics and language for students in Grade Kindergarten to Grade 6. The program includes the delivery of interactive and engaging lessons through in-person learning in the Central Region and virtual learning board-wide. Learning will take place 3 hours daily. Positions are subject to student registration numbers.

Grade K 3 Mathematics and Language (English) - 1 Teacher

Grade 4 - 6 Mathematics and Language (French Immersion) - 1 Teacher


Virtual Learning (Board-wide):

QUALIFICATIONS: - Ontario College of Teachers Accreditation - Primary and/or Junior qualifications - FSL qualifications - required (French Immersion positions) - Reading Part 1 qualifications - preferred - Special Education qualifications - preferred - Mathematics qualifications - preferred

REMUNERATION: $58.49/hour

Applicants must possess the qualifications in accordance with the Education Act and the pertinent Regulations.

Additional Information:

External applicants shall provide a covering letter and a complete resume including complete information about experience training employment history dates places and addresses of previous employers a copy of their most recent performance appraisal (if applicable) and a list of three references (one which must be a current or recent supervisor). Must provide a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable Sector Screening prior to employment.
