VPG is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated General Ledger Accountant who supports our General Ledger accounting functions to join our DSI team.
This is an onsite role in Poestenkill NY!

The estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time. Any offer extended to a candidate or salary increase consideration for a current employee will be based on the individual s unique set of knowledge skills education experience and geographic location as well as internal equity.
Requirements :
Bachelor s degree in Accounting Economics or Business; CPA CMA or MBA preferred.
5 10 years of cost and financial accounting experience ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP SOX compliance and internal controls.
Proven ability to manage month-end close prepare financial statements and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Experience compiling and analyzing product cost data inventory valuation and usage reporting.
Skilled in maintaining general ledger and sub-ledgers (AP AR fixed assets accruals etc..
Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency.
Strong analytical organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work onsite and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
