This role is responsible for driving sales of office automation equipment and solutions including multifunction copier machines (Ricoh and Canon) interactive whiteboards safes and note counters across Mombasa Kilifi Kwale and Taita counties.
The main responsibility for this role is to promote these products to commercial and corporate institutions NGOs healthcare facilities schools higher learning institutions such as TVETs and universities as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the region.
The ideal candidate for this role is well-versed in the coastal market consistently demonstrates success in sales communicates effectively and excels at building and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires someone who is proactive works well independently and consistently seeks out new business opportunities while nurturing existing accounts.
What you will do.
Responsibilities.
You will proactively generate leads by identifying and pursuing new clients to grow the customer base rather than relying on existing accounts.
You will spend the majority of your time in the field maintaining strong visibility and engaging consistently with potential and current clients across your assigned region.
You will actively market and sell a range of office automation equipment to businesses and institutions within the designated territory.
You will develop and execute strategic sales plans aimed at meeting and surpassing set targets.
You will seek out new business opportunities through fieldwork cold calling networking and referrals.
You will build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
You will deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations with a key focus on showcasing Ricoh and Canon multifunction printers.
You will prepare competitive quotations professional proposals and take part in tender processes while leveraging digital platforms to enhance your sales approach.
You will negotiate pricing and contract terms effectively ensuring deals are closed successfully and payments are collected on time.
You will provide excellent after-sales service ensuring clients remain satisfied and supported post-purchase.
You will stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and market developments.
You will generate and submit regular reports on your sales activities pipeline and forecasts.
You will work closely with colleagues across different departments to support overall business goals.
You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of your sales activities and customer engagements.
About you
Must-haves:
You hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration IT Sales and Marketing or a related field from a recognized institution.
You have at least 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales and marketing specifically in office automation and print technology targeting commercial or large organizations.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
You possess strong communication presentation and negotiation skills that support effective client engagement and deal closure.
You have a solid understanding of the business environment and customer needs within the Coast region especially in Mombasa and its surrounding areas.

You are highly driven and goal-oriented with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
You excel in building and maintaining professional relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
You demonstrate effective time management and are well-organized in handling multiple tasks.
You can work well independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
You take initiative and show a strong sense of responsibility and ownership in your work.
You prioritize customer satisfaction and are committed to delivering excellent service.
You have a good grasp of the local culture and business dynamics within the assigned region which is a strong advantage.
