Job Description

Title: Legal - Contracts Administration

Location: Fort Wayne Indiana United States - Onsite

Job Type: Full Time

Industry: Aerospace / Aviation / Defence

 

Essential Functions:

  • Drive all aspects of major subcontract execution (cost schedule technical quality) and full integration of the subcontract work scope within the program e.g. proposals negotiations contract execution etc.
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced knowledge of contract types (i.e. FFP Cost Reimbursement T&M CPFF CPIF etc.) government proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced negotiation skills subcontractor management and program risk management experience.
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced ability to review technical SOWs understand work scope and hold other functions accountable to provide clarity and eliminate ambiguity in SOW language and technical requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements Prime Contract flow downs International Trade Compliance ITAR EAR  Import/Export General Provisions Terms and Conditions policies and procedures  command media requirements negotiations of legal documents and supply chain strategies to improve KPIs and ROIs.
  • Expert at problem solving by leveraging experience and through analysis of data
  • Expert understanding of Subcontracts relationship with other functions such as Contracts Program Management Finance Engineering Quality Business Development and others.
  • Accountable to Program Manager Business Development Supply Chain Leadership and Operations
  • Responsible to analyze diverse set of issues and challenging development program(s) changes and communicate effectively to Program(s) and Supply Chain Executive Leadership
  • Work closely with SCMs Program Management and Technical personnel to support/manage high-dollar value proposals and subcontracts
  • Experience with Intellectual Property (IP) and Patent requirements
  • Able to work directly with Technical Team(s) to identify processes requirements Statement of Works improvements and propose changes to include Supply Chain risk mitigation strategies with possible cost savings/avoidance
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally if needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

MUST HAVE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF FAR/DFAR
