Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.  Advise Safety personnel of any deviations from this program.
  • Ensure all safety huddles are discussed and inspections completed.
  • Process picking lists packing lists and bill of lading in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Load and finalize orders in the Distribution Center System.
  • Perform audits on orders processed by warehouse clerks.
  • Train new employees on how to pull stack and wrap orders correctly.
  • Unload label and store product from inbound trucks.
  • Receive product in both Microsoft Dynamics AX and Distribution Center System.
  • Identify product to ensure proper labeling and receiving.
  • Train new employees on product knowledge and how to store product.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by using the tools in the Distribution Center System to audit inventory and check physical inventory.
  • Make inventory adjustments in Microsoft Dynamics AX and Distribution Center System.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Center Manager.

Qualifications :

TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure employees are following all work instructions and working safely according to Tyler Union policies and procedures.  Train new employees on work instructions and product knowledge.  Respond to employee questions as appropriate; escalate to the manager as necessary.  Fill in for the manager on an as needed basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in a related field from an accredited college preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of work-related experience on-the-job training and/or vocational training required. 
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
  • Prior experience with an ERP system preferred.

  • The physical requirements required to perform this job include moderate lifting/carrying of up to 50 pounds; overhead or above shoulder reaching; bending at the waist occasionally; pushing/pulling a maximum of up to 50 pounds un-wheeled; twisting torso at the waist; use of fingers and both hands; ability to grasp medium with right/left hands; ability to flex/extend right/left hands; ability to do repetitive work with hands; ability to exert medium arm/hand force with right/left hands; ability to wear gloves on right/left hands; ability to use tools with right/left hands; ability to write; maximum standing of one hour per day; maximum sitting of five hours per day; maximum walking of two hours per day; kneeling; squatting; climbing using arms and legs; moving neck forward/back and turning right/left; ability to work in a wide temperature range; ability to work in high humidity; ability to work inside/outside; ability to work with solvents or chemicals such as casting coating and fuels; ability to work around moving machinery; and ability to operate a crane truck forklift or other moving vehicles.
