Job Description
Job Title: Senior API Developer Apigee
Location: Costa Mesa CA (Local only because there is in person interview)
Duration: 12 Months
Experience Level: 10 Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior API Developer with strong hands-on experience in Apigee and API development. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of microservices architecture API security and modern API management platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and manage API proxies using Apigee.
- Develop and maintain scalable microservices to support APIs.
- Implement API platform features such as security throttling caching logging custom analytics monetization and traffic management.
- Work with API security frameworks including OAuth 2.0 JWT and other modern standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable API solutions.
- Optimize API performance and monitor using Apigee and other tools.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Apigee or similar API Management platforms (e.g. Azure APIM).
- Proficient in API design development and management.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of API security protocols like OAuth2 JWT etc.
- Experience with API gateway configurations (rate limiting caching request/response transformation).
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP AWS Azure).
