Civil Engineering III

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering III in Phoenix AZ.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and apply Traffic Engineering principles standards and criteria.
• Interact directly with clients at project meetings and ensure that all client project designs meet engineering standards.
• Interact directly with other disciplines such as roadway drainage structures Geotech water and environment to coordinate design.
• Adhere to project schedules and budgets and keep project PM/Discipline Lead aware of any issues.
• Lead the development of Plans Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) packages based upon agency standards and specifications for traffic signal and pedestrian crossing control system design ITS roadway lighting Signing and Pavement Marking and MOT design.
• Perform traffic operational analysis including traffic projections analysis and simulation using Synchro/SimTraffic HCS and VISSIM.
• Analyze crash data to identify crash patterns and probable causes develop collision and condition diagrams. conduct predictive safety analysis.
• Perform photometric analysis using AGi32 and Visual lighting.
• Participate in transportation planning assignments corridor studies safety studies and IAJR reports.
• Prepare technical memorandums and papers for clients and/or internal distribution.
• Conduct field reviews. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and team members.
• Manage small to medium size projects independently. Manage big size projects under the guidance of senior project managers.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications :

• Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field or 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Civil Engineering related role
• In the alternative the employer will accept a Masters degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. Proposals writing reports analysis and modeling using software including Microstation Geopak and OpenRoads;
2. CAD ITS Design Traffic Engineering Design and Lighting Design
3. VISSIM HCS and AGi32
4. AutoCAD
