Environmental Project Management Assistant, Environment Testing

The Project Management Assistant supports the Project Management staff in servicing clients to meet the laboratory mission.  Position is Full time M-F 8:00am- 4:30pm (flexible) with overtime as needed.

Must live a commutable distance to North Kingstown RI AND have a background in Environment.   

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in Project Management and grow with the organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists on-site and off-site Project Management staff as follows:

• Creates bottle orders 
• Schedules courier or Service Center pick ups or drop offs as needed 
• Creates and issues final report by client due date 
• Issues final data package 
• Completes state reporting forms and submissions 
• Completes data uploads
• Compiles case narrative
• Invoicing and payment processing
• Reviews final invoice before issuing to client 
• Generates credit/debit memos as needed and submits for approvals
• Answers phone and redirects calls to Project Managers

Assists with sample receiving as follows:

• Reviews log-in 
• Assists with unpacking coolers during high receipt periods
• Uploads sample receipt paperwork to LIMS and files hard-copies
• Assists with sample control when client requests changes to jobs such as relocating or relabeling samples
• Confirms that any client needed information (purchase order project number etc.) is recorded in LIMS for invoicing 

Qualifications :

Basic Minimum Qualifications 

• Associate degree (four years client-relationship/client service experience may substitute for degree)
• High school Chemistry coursework basic laboratory experience
• Environmental laboratory experience
• 1-3 years business experience required
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship 

Ideal Candidates will have: 

• Customer service/client relations experience preferred
• Bench chemist experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Computer skills using routine software applications such as Outlook Office Excel Word Access and PowerPoint.

Additional Information :

Pay range: $20-23/hour (DOE) plus full benefits 

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English.
