Job Description

FIELD SERVICES ELECTRICAL / ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

ABOUT OUR COMPANY: AMS is a leading nuclear engineering services company headquartered in Knoxville Tennessee with a worldwide list of clients. We provide the worldwide nuclear industry with products and services to measure the performance of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems and verify compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements. AMS products training and services cover a wide range including measurement of dynamic performance of I&C sensors shutdown rod control system testing digital I&C equipment qualification wireless technology implementation cable testing and troubleshooting aging management of critical plant equipment online calibration monitoring of process sensors computer-aided testing and development of specialized data acquisition equipment and data analysis systems in support of reactor operation and maintenance.


OUR MISSION: To ensure the safe operation of the worldwide nuclear fleet through innovative testing services engineering solutions training and data analysis.


POSITION TYPE: Full-time


LOCATION: On-site at company headquarters (Please note that AMS does not offer relocation assistance at this time.)


SALARY RANGE: $75000 - $85000 per year plus full package of benefits


JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Field Services Electrical / Electronics Technician you will travel to both domestic and international customer sites taking customized data acquisition and analysis hardware and software to collect data and provide analysis reports. When you are not traveling you will support the construction modification repair and calibration of our test equipment and maintain our laboratory facilities.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering and at least 5 years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to read and understand written/oral instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze information objectively and make a reasoned judgement.
  • Possess excellent electrical/electronic knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and electronics.
  • Excellent soldering skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel to perform field service testing at national and international facilities.
  • Produce detailed data analysis reports.
  • Construct calibrate maintain and troubleshoot electronic test equipment.
  • Install programs configure software and troubleshoot computer operational problems.
  • Maintain our laboratory facilities.
