Tri-County Regional Centre for Education

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) encompasses the three (3) Counties of Shelburne Yarmouth and Digby serving approximately 6100 students in twenty-two (22) schools composed of 13Elementary Schools 6 High Schools 1 Middle School and 2 Elementary/High Schools.

Position: Food Service Worker - Casual on call basis (Ensure to note in your coverletter which county you are available for)

Reports to: Program Lead School Food

The Food Service Worker (FSW) under the direction of the Lead Food Service Worker the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education School Lunch Program Lead and school administrator will demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills. They are responsible for assisting in the preparation of food items serving food to students staff and guests performing cashier duties (where and when required) serving customers swiftly efficiently and with dignity and adhering to all food safety standards and the Food and Nutrition Policy for Nova Scotia Public Schools.

The FSW performs optimally in a dynamic high-pressure fast-paced environment. They will have daily interactions with individuals from various backgrounds maintaining a friendly and positive attitude while ensuring confidentiality. The FSW will be committed to creating a healthy food environment by promoting healthy eating food equity and a safe and welcoming space. Consistent attendance in current and previous positions is expected.

Band 1 $20.43 per hour
