MATERIALS SPECIALIST
WENTZVILLE MO PLANT

As a member of the materials team the Materials Specialist will be responsible for procuring and monitoring all raw production material and products in the plant. The Planner position is also responsible for preparing and executing service orders to various GM warehouses. They work closely with the Material Manager Quality Department and Finance Departments.

The Role:

Your work will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain a smooth flow of raw materials into the assembly plant.
  • Maintain a working relationship with Tier II supply bases.
  • Work with SAP AS400 (FGI & Shop Floor Control) & Various online portals for ordering scheduling and receiving goods and services. GM CBR rollout in Calendar year 2022.
  • Modify SAP scheduling agreements between various customers to ensure inventory levels are maintained throughout week.
  • Assist in hitting inventory targets for month end quarter end & year end.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile per schedule.
  • Assist in two physical inventories per year unless waiver granted.
  • Work Saturdays when necessary.
  • Adjust trucking schedules through online Penske ACA process.
  • Participate in weekly discussions with Penske LM Agillence and LINC representatives.
  • Create daily dock truck unload schedule and communicate with hourly employees.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to stay in line with Sarbanes Oxley and LEAP accounting practices.
  • Create and arrange once weekly outbound shipments for GMSPO warehouse(s).
  • Participate in various CI and Quality functions on a weekly/monthly basis.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of related automotive experience in a materials function.
  • Proven communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with SAP and AS400
  • Ability to work in a highly productive constantly changing environment.
