Amazon Air (AIR) is seeking an enthusiastic Regulatory Compliance & Aircraft Records Management Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) to support its Fleet Aviation Sourcing & Technical (FAST) team. The Sr. TPM leads the development implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure AIR and its carriers compliance with national and international aviation regulations. This role oversees audits sometimes interfaces with regulatory authorities and 3P Continuing airworthiness management organization (CAMO)s and ensures that all aircraft related operations align with applicable aviation standards (e.g. FAA EASA ICAO). The role will include developing and executing aircraft records management processes analyzing aircraft lease return requirements and the associated risks and optimizing the aircraft maintenance practice to minimize AIRs cost exposure.
This role requires subject matter expertise in aviation regulatory requirements and the technical aspects of them with strong knowledge in airlines operations and maintenance practices. The role requires significant level of experience working with aircraft leasing companies on aircraft acceptance records reviews and audits and aircraft transitions from one operator to another. The Sr. TPM needs to be detail-oriented be able to work with large amounts of data quickly be Right A Lot and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders team members leadership other departments and business partners to drive effective and sustainable solutions to complex challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and manage AIRs aircraft records compliance programs in accordance with FAA EASA ICAO TC and other regulatory bodies
- Serve as the primary liaison with AIRs carriers and regulatory agencies
- Develop and manage Digital Record Management Systems and aircraft record retention policies and processes
- Lead internal audits and compliance assessments of aircraft records
- Manage corrective action plans to address deficiencies and discrepancies
- Monitor changes in aviation regulations and implications to AIR fleet and advise stakeholders on action plans accordingly
- Ensure operational manuals procedures aircraft records and other requirements are compliant and up to date
- Collaborate with technical operations and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory integration across business units
- Provide regular reporting and presentations to leadership and regulatory authorities
- Lead compliance investigations and produce reports
- Lead and support aircraft transition related projects
- Develop metrics to track fleet compliance on records modifications and other requirements
- Ensure aircraft records meet all regulatory and lessor requirements
- Manage aircraft records compliance in support of aircraft delivery and re-delivery
- Coordinate with Maintenance Quality Fleet and Engineering departments to ensure timely submission and validation of maintenance data and documents
- Influence the architecture integration and maintenance of electronic records systems (e.g. CAMP TRAX AMOS)
- Conduct regular audits of records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Drive simplification and efficiency in the aircraft records review and administration process

- Working closely with fleet sourcing and spare asset sourcing teams to provide technical advices on candidate asset compliance
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders external 3Ps and external carriers on aircraft records reviews/audits and resolve discrepancies
- Assessing and managing long term regulations and maintenance records compliance program strategies policies and processes
- Leading compliance and records aspects of the aircraft transitions
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 8 years of analytical quantitative communication and presentations experience
- Advanced knowledge of FAA/EASA/ICAO/TC regulations
- 5 years of aviation regulatory compliance and records management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Masters degree in aviation or related field
- Extensive experience in commercial aircraft records management programs and commercial aircraft transfer supporting airlines and leasing companies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
