Job Description
CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat inspire support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of has been a critical part of Ohios efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.
We are currently looking for a full-time Lab Manager to lead our moderate complexity laboratory service line.

Duties Include:
- Oversight of daily Lab operations including specimen collection and analyzation patient flow and customer service proper chain of custody protocols documentation and billing.
- Provides supervision and support to MLT/S bench technologist and specimen collectors including scheduling and coverage needs
- Facilitates department improvements through the creation of a positive work environment analyzing department needs and development of departmental goals and action plans.
- Assists executive management with contracting related to Lab functions
- Professionally collaborates and communicates with internal and external referral sources
- Participate as part of the organizations leadership team
- Provides staff training for specimen collection and analyzation and ensures staff have the appropriate certifications competencies and proficiencies
- Meet with Staff and Administration on a regular basis.
- Completes administrative duties including but not limited to interviews and staff evaluations in the appropriated time.
- Ensure staff are registered for and attend all appropriate trainings to include CPR and First Aid.
- Ensure supplies for drug and alcohol testing are ordered and on hand.
- Provide backup coverage to Lab staff as needed.
Minimum Requirements:Must have Medical Technologist certification or degree from a 4-year Ohio Certified program Ohio Certified Medical License or equivalent. Two years lab training or experience and two years of supervisory experienced in both waived and non-waived testing. Experience/training in infection surveillance in addition to some experience in epidemiologic principles and infectious disease sanitation and disinfecting practice. Knowledge of adult education principles and/or patient care practice.
