Prerequisite: Master degree in Business & Management agribusiness or Sustainability (and fields of research related to the project)
Application process: description
While existing research has covered the definition of sustainable business model the mechanisms at play for sustainability are very context dependent. In management the way farmers create business models that are sustainability oriented has not been sufficiently covered. Multiple ways to address suitability by famers are mentioned in the literature but remain technologically oriented. How these solutions may integrate a consistent business model remain unclear. Specifically the project aims to explore how farmers develop regenerative and agro-ecology oriented business models. The approach used should be based on systemic perspective preferably the complex adaptive system approach (to be co-determined by the PhD candidate and the supervisors)
Doctoral Research Topic
