Amazon Advertising is a fast-growing multi-billion dollar business that spans across desktop mobile and connected devices (Steaming TV Alexa etc.) and encompasses ads on Amazon and third party publishers worldwide. The Amazon Advertising Trust Tech team has an exciting opportunity for you to solve some of the most challenging problems in AdTech at scale!

We build platform and solutions that help advertisers reach millions of Amazon customers. To be successful in this role we are looking for a talented detail-oriented and enthusiastic software engineer who is passionate about building highly available and scalable services to serve customers globally and adept at learning and working with a wide range of technologies (including object oriented design test driven development databases AWS Cloud).
We are looking for developers who challenge themselves and others to constantly come up with innovative solutions and also influence the direction of their teams. This role requires working directly with product design and operations teams.
As a software development engineer on the team you will:
- Work in a fast-paced environment building products using Java AWS (infrastructure serverless relational/NoSQL databases Big Data/ML technologies etc.) along with a wide range of automated DevOps tools.
- Build high scale and low latency services to enable successful delivery of billions of ad impressions.
- Seek to continually innovate and scale the services through researching design tradeoffs and owning operational excellence.
- Partner with engineering teams product managers to identify and execute on the most promising opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
- Translate functional requirements into robust scalable supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture
- Design and develop highly distributed components of our advertising system.
- Work as full stack engineer to architect design and build product from scratch that should delight advertisers and customers
- Brainstorm with Product management and partner teams about new ideas technical design; make data-driven decisions to inform product prioritization.
- Establish the best processes and drive improvements in design development and operations
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on design coding troubleshooting and operational excellence
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
