Job Description
Position Title:Grocery Department Head - Full Time

Location: 395 Wellington Rd. London
Shifts: Days Evenings Weekends
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to departments assigned budget
- Manages and directs activities pertaining to department staff including hiring coaching training and scheduling.
- Responsible for ensuring products meet fresh standards
- Ensures proper ordering purchasing and inventory control develops and implements strategic plans to achieve projected gross margin
- Deals directly with suppliers in store line-ups responsible for building displays
- Ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures including Customer Service Policy government regulations health & safety sanitation security etc.
- Support with overall store operation including store opening and closing
- Oversees and responsible for the operations of the Night Crew
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grocery experience which includes excellent product knowledge rotation and merchandising experience
- Superior customer service skills
- Capable of standing for a prolonged period of 4-8 hours; of bending twisting and turning and reaching; and of lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Available to work days evenings Saturdays and Sundays as per the C.B.A.
