The Position:
It is the general duty of Registered Early Childhood Educators to establish a respectful and equitable learning environment and to maintain a positive attitude for the purpose of encouraging students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Registered Early Childhood Educators are also expected to demonstrate a commitment to student learning achievement and well-being in accordance with the professional standards of the College of Early Childhood Educators and the I.B. Primary Years Programme standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and teach a prescribed number of periods.
- Plan deliver and maintain the Extended Hours program.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for visitors to the school.
- Support MacLachlan Colleges extra-curricular programming by volunteering time knowledge and enthusiasm in a variety of ways such as coaching school events and performances.
Skills and Qualifications:
- ECE/RECE certification
- Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Understanding and knowledge of the Childcare Early Years Act requirements
- First aid and CPR Certification
- Demonstrated Integrity & Trust
- Possesses excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated flexibility adaptability and self-management
