POSITION OVERVIEW
The Laboratory Intelligence Unit (LIU) provides analysis of forensic exploitation to address the requirements of the FBI and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC). The FBIs Laboratory Division has recovered and seized improvised explosives devices (IEDs) and related materials from the DoD for forensic and technical analysis in support of the ongoing war on terrorism. In December 2004 the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) located in Huntsville Alabama was formally established and given the mission of forensically and technically exploiting for evidentiary investigative and intelligence purposes IEDs used by terrorists.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide raw intelligence tactical and operational analysis in support of FBI investigations and operations.
- Conduct data exploitation tactical analysis raw intelligence review and threat/targeting analysis.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from U.S. Government and partner agencies.
- Produce intelligence products for dissemination to the U.S. Intelligence Community and foreign partners.
- Help identify potential leads for FBI investigations.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- (U) A Bachelors degree from a regionally-accredited college or university.
- (U) A minimum of three years of intelligence analysis work experience in the USIC writing raw and/or tactical intelligence products.
- (U) Experience and/or familiarity with intelligence requirements and processes.
- (U) Strong interpersonal ability demonstrated by at least three years of experience working on a multi-disciplined team or within a team environment.
- (U) Strong editorial and grammar skills demonstrated by at least two years of experience in copyediting print-publishing or other writing-heavy responsibilities.
- (U) At least five years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite products including MS Word Excel PowerPoint.
