Masters degree in second language teaching TESL or related discipline. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college/university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with team-teaching. TESL Certification or equivalent.
Mandatory Writing Evaluation Benchmarking Workshop:
Please note that attendance at an ESL0140 Writing Evaluation Benchmarking Workshop will be mandatory for all instructors. This workshop will be offered online through Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
This workshop is scheduled for Wednesday October 29th 2025 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. In the event that the workshop facilitator becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances an alternative date will be communicated in advance to facilitate attendance.
Instructors will be compensated for participation at APTPUO training rates ($49.03 per hour).
Please note:
This course is offered exclusively on the University of Ottawa campus and requires in-person instruction.
Professors teaching the same section mutually agree upon teaching schedules. In circumstances of limited sections on offer and/or conflicting schedules among professors the unit reserves the right to select professor teaching days for a given section.
