The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine Division of Emergency Medicine in partnership with Seattle Childrens Hospital is seeking a full-time provider as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice Associate Professor of Clinical Practice or Professor of Clinical Practice on the Clinical Practice Track to join our faculty commensurate with experience and qualifications as generally described in UWs Faculty Code Section 24-34.
Anticipated start date is Fall/Winter 2025.
In addition to clinical work teaching scholarship and service are integral to all Clinical Practice positions. The initial appointment period will be three years at a minimum with eligibility for renewal thereafter. Faculty on the clinical practice track hold multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure.
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice $17517 - $26276 per month ($210212 - $315318 annually)Associate Professor of Clinical Practice $19858 - $29788 per month ($238306 - $357458 annually) Professor of Clinical Practice $22874 - $34312 per month ($274497 - $411745 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Childrens University Medical Group practice plan. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).
Duties will include clinical care research and teaching as well as active participation in Divisional activities.

This individual will join a collegial academic Emergency Medicine Division which along with a large group of Advanced Practice Providers and accredited Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship cares for approximately 60000 patients per year in a state-of-the-art Emergency Department. The Division focuses on quality of care continuous process improvement safety clinical standardization education research and academic success.
Seattle Childrens Hospital serves as a tertiary referral center for theWWAMIregion with referrals from and care sites in Washington Wyoming Alaska Montana and Idaho.

Applicants must have an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent). Must be Board certified or Board eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
Applicants must have completed a US accredited pediatric emergency medicine fellowship successful applicant will be expected to have demonstrated efforts with Emergency Medical Systems (EMS) through scholarship and education or outreach including but not limited to effective simulation leadership and research such as Principal Investigator (PI) experience regarding Pediatric Readiness and Quality Care.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
