About this position:
LMCU is looking for a Director of Personal Lines who will be responsible for personal line insurance growth loss retention underwriting profit and legal compliance. Oversees Personal Lines staff and employee development. Grows and maintains key partner relationships within LMCU for partner referrals.
What youll do:
Provide coaching and additional training for personal line employees at all LMIA locations including but not limited to: Overseeing the development implementation and training of new or improved department procedures. Oversee education training and development programs to increase department capability and expertise. Serve as a liaison to department heads to ensure procedures and training appropriately address and emphasize LMIA expectations. Facilitate and oversee underwriting and agency standards.
Responsible for the day-to-day LMIA personal lines staff including but not limited to: Monitoring of workflows to avoid delays in processing developing and maintaining audit processes to ensure compliance with LMIA procedures and policies. Monitor time off and timecards. Facilitate and oversee underwriting and agency standards. Facilitate interviews hiring and terminating staff to ensure professionalism and a high-level of technical and personal skills.
Set staff goals monitor progress and direct the workflow of the department to assure standards are met for Personal Line sales and service staff at all LMIA locations.
Ensure high levels of customer service by enhancing differentiation and value-added proposition of pro-active services delivery to clients and satisfaction by improving ongoing service delivery methods.
Maintain positive relationships with appropriate company representatives through proper contacts and effective communication. Attend carrier meetings when necessary. Build and maintain LMCU Branch and Department relationships for continued partner referrals. Build and promote LMIA brand awareness within LMCU and non-members alike. Manage relationships between LMCU staff and LMIA Personal Line staff.
Stay up to date with insurance technical knowledge market trends agency automation company information and other operating techniques.
Responsible for performance evaluation and annual review of performance expectations for subordinate personnel.
What Youll Bring: Youll like this position if you have...
Five years to eight years of insurance sales experience or similar or related experience.
Management experience required.
A bachelors degree in business accounting finance economics or related field of study.
Must have and maintain current property casualty life and health licensure.
Knowledge of AMS360 Vertafore products PL Rater and Carrier Websites.
