About the Role
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at Windigrove Apartments in Waynesboro VA you will be a key member of our team assisting the Maintenance Supervisor and ensuring our property is in top-notch physical condition inside and out. A typical day could include plumbing electrical basic drywall carpet and appliance repairs plus common area and exterior maintenance and repairs respond to after-hours emergencies and ensure a safe welcoming environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee maintenance tasks including plumbing electrical drywall carpet and appliance repairs
- Maintain common areas and exteriors to the highest standards
- Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation required)
- Delegate tasks to maintenance assistants and ensure timely completion
- Maintain accurate records for work orders parts inventory and service follow-up
- Foster a positive customer-focused environment for residents and team members
- Participate in ongoing training and mentorship through The Park Academy
- Other duties as assigned
What Were Looking For
- Caring attitude pride in your work and commitment to high performance
- Self-motivated hard-working and high-energy
- Experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred
- HVAC certification preferred
- Skilled in using power tools and basic technology (computers/tablets)
- Good people skills friendly and helpful attitude
- Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. frequently
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
- Valid drivers license
- Rotating after-hours on-call availability and weekends
