Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (3) properties in Cedar Rapids (52404) and Hiawatha IA (52233). The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient and have worked in multi-family communities before. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
This role will be working with (3) communities Site 1: was built in 2015 64 Units 4 stories - Affordable and Market Rate Site 2: 55 plus senior living and 52 units and Site 3: 55 senior living and 40 units.
Salary: $22-$23/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday Friday 8am 430pm.
On-call Requirements: none while on contract or after conversion.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks windows floors and other parts of the building.
- Maintains the grounds assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
- Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
- Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years experience in maintenance in residential communities (affordable housing experience is highly preferred!!!!) - work orders and preventative maintenance.
- Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties.
- Be able to pass a background check before employment.
