Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (3) properties in Minnetonka MN & Eden Prairie MN. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in Residential Maintenance (affordable housing). This position is a contract position and is expected to last 30-60 days in length.
This role will be working with (3) communities in (1) Eden Prairie and (2) Minnetonka.
Salary: $27-$28/hour DOQ. This position is a contract position and is expected to last 30-60 days in length.
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30AM-5:00P.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Coordinates scheduling of vacant units including in-house and contracted activities.
- Inspects and approves workmanship quality of in-house and contracted personnel. Check units just prior to move-in for final condition.
- Schedules and prioritizes all service requests optimizing resident satisfaction staff skills and abilities and preservation of the asset.
- Maintenance of swimming pool amenity areas spas and fountains.
- Maintenance daily cleaning and repair of common areas (to include sweeping washing and general cleaning).
- Responsible for adherence to budget guidelines and maintains inventories.
- Monitor security - all vacant units outside doors of clubhouse and other maintenance and/or common facilities and amenities. Ensure doors are locked. General property safety and security and accident prevention including key control.
- Maintain professional demeanor with residents.
- Communicate regularly with Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager regarding issues and recommendations for property improvements.
- Purchases supplies and services as needed utilizing approved vendors after receiving approvals and purchase orders from manager
Qualifications and Experience:
- 2 years experience in maintenance in residential communities (affordable housing experience is highly preferred!!!!) - work orders and preventative maintenance.
- Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties.
- Be able to pass a background check before employment.
- Working knowledge of plumbing electrical systems HVAC systems appliance repair pools and spas carpentry and general construction.
- Neat clean and professional appearance; maintain a professional attitude and work habits in dealing with the staff vendors and the public
- Boiler & HVAC Certification.
- CPO Certification-preferred.
