Job Description
Vezina Secondary School invites applications for a qualified teacher to commence employment for the2025/2026 school year.
We are a First Nations school located in Northern Ontario James Bay with an enrollment of 150 students in Grades offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications a travel and relocation allowance and a fully furnished housing unit with subsidized rent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registration and in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
- Minimum Bachelor of Education Degree
- Qualifications in Secondary English
- Submit cover letter with application package
- Submit a current Canadian Police Information Centre(CPIC) with Vulnerable Sector Check or proof of application
- Submit three most recent work references (approachable by phone number and emails both)
- Strong communication skills are required for working with students parents staff members and consultants
- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet a range of learning styles and abilities
- Ability to deliver appropriate Individual Education Plans within the classroom
- A willingness to live in an isolated community and participate as a member of the community
Salary: As per AFNEA Pay Grid
Duration: Permanent position with probation period as per board policy.
