The Cluster Commercial Manager will work with the Commercial Director whilst shouldering responsibility for all business development activities for Hilton Northern Territory Cluster hotels. This role will assist with the planning and execution of the commercial strategy and activity through supporting the Revenue management team Sales Catering and Events Marketing eCommerce and Public Relations teams through working effectively with area support teams. The Cluster Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving commercial strategies covering all segments and channels to maximize total revenue and profit performance as well as market share penetration of the hotel.

This position will be the key business partner to the Commercial Director for all revenue decision making and require exceptional stakeholder management.

Duties:

  • Developing and executing commercial strategies along with the Cluster Commercial Director covering all segments and channels to maximise total revenue and profit performance as well as market share penetration.
  • Support RMCC to establish an optimal mix review and validate forecasts develop strategies for different demand periods and review and approve retail and group pricing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders owners hotel teams Hilton Sales team and CDT team.
  • Provide accurate monthly reports on sales leads and revenue for collation with the monthly reports for the Cluster Commercial Manager/RMCC.
  • Assisting in developing the hotels annual/quarterly/monthly budget forecast and work plans implementing them effectively.
  • Produces the annual Revenue Plan S&M budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the Cluster Commercial Director and the Hotel Team.
  • Develop key account management which increases Hiltons market power and closer matches the way customers choose to buy for CORP Leisure and MICE.
  • Develop the right Account Plans to repurpose teams to ensure that sales resources are mobilised to drive market share from Key Accounts with the highest potential.
  • Ensure that measurement systems are in place to track the production of all targeted accounts.
  • On an annual basis identify the key retention and acquisition accounts for each salesperson.
  • Actively seek out new sources of business.
  • Develop and manage appropriate travel manager/booker programs.
  • Outbound Sales - Promotes business for other Hilton Hotels.
  • Meet agreed targets on room nights/C&C Revenue.
  • Encourage the movement of sales revenue events and marketing people around the department and between Hilton hotels.
  • Ensure that effective processes are in place for the recruitment induction training and development of all customers facing sales marketing and revenue management people in the hotel.
  • Spot talent within the team and develop them for future increased responsibility.

  • In conjunction with the Marketing team establish hotel positioning documentation for the hotel that include:
    • In-depth SWOT Analysis
    • Key Messages
    • Establishment of Advertising and promotions action plan and budget
    • Proposal and implementation of local and regional advertisement campaigns
    • Organises and attends major PR related functions within the hotel
