Position Summary
THIS IS A TIME - LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF 3 YEARS . The primary responsibility of this position is to provide executive administrative support to the Assistant Dean for the PhD Program and to manage the daily activities of the Program Office. The responsibilities of this position include: Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Dean management of PhD program activities and processes providing administrative support to PhD faculty committees coordinating orientation activities within the program assisting with faculty compliance required for the program and/or clinical agencies coordinator of fixed-term faculty recruitment activities and contract renewal process and maintaining program related data forms reports spreadsheets and correspondence.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Knowledge- Program: Program knowledge includes acceptable interpretationsapplications and allowable exceptions of written policies and procedures. Requires knowledge of organizational structure functions and services programs office procedures and Administration: Performs research data collection and analysis of information and report writing. Utilizes reconciles and manipulates data from different internal and external software systems. Applies an in-depth knowledge of avariety of complex processes and Technology: Integrates varying software applications and systems for information and records Solving: Independently resolves and/or develops recommendations forunprecedented issues and problems. Problem resolution requires some interpretation of policy and procedures. Serves as a resource for others in resolving unprecedented non-standard issues and problems. Assumes responsibilities for andmanages the results of decisions. Coordinates and facilitates solutions with otherwork - Verbal: Interprets guidelines answers inquiries and advises othersregarding processes services and operations as applied to non-standard situations. Communicatesexpectations to other employees which may include formal/informal - Written: Independently compiles analyzes assimilates andcomposes information into varied or non-standard formats with responsibility for content review accuracy quality and timelines requiring in-depth program knowledge and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Working knowledge of University & School policies procedures and curriculum related to the School of Nursings academic programs; working knowledge of FERPA and licensure requirements designated by NCBON ; basic knowledge of policies procedures and protocols specific to certifying agencies and accrediting bodies. Demonstrated analytical & organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a highly active environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage peak workload periods.
