  • Job Title: Valet Parking Attendant and Overnight Valet Attendant
  • Department: Valet Parking Operations
  • Reports directly to: Guest Service Coordinator
  • Schedule: Full Time / Part-Time - Overnight 10pm - 6am/7am
  • Status: Non-Exempt
  • Compensation: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour PLUS daily Cash Tips

(Rates can vary by market / Tips based on service performance and customer interactions)

Position Summary

We are seeking friendly professional Valet Attendants and Overnight Valet Attendants to deliver exceptional customer service as the welcoming face of our hotel. In these roles youll safely park and retrieve guest vehicles while ensuring a seamless secure and courteous valet experienceday or night. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create memorable first and last impressions that enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Primary Objective

Provide prompt courteous and safe valet services while maintaining vehicle security and delivering outstanding customer service that reflects the hotels high standardsduring both daytime and overnight shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First Impression: Warmly greet guests assist with luggage as needed and create a positive professional first impression.
  • Details: Perform thorough vehicle inspections to document existing damage and accurately complete claim tickets.
  • Safety: Safely park and retrieve vehicles following all key handling and safety procedures.
  • Traffic Flow: Efficiently manage traffic flow in the valet area to ensure smooth operations especially during busy or overnight hours.
  • Overnight: Overnight Valets will monitor and secure the parking area respond quickly to guest requests and assist with vehicle retrieval during late hours.
  • Keep it Clean: Maintain a clean organized and professional valet area that reflects the hotels commitment to excellence.
  • Timeclock: Accurately clock in/out and report gratuities in line with company policies.
  • Service Delivery: Address guest questions concerns and special requests promptly and courteously delivering personalized service to enhance guest experiences.
  • Arrive On Time: Arrive punctually dressed in uniform and adhere to all hotel rules policies and safety guidelines.
  • Support: Support teammates and assist with additional tasks as needed to maintain smooth efficient valet operations.
  • Help with other tasks as needed to support the team and daily operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • A helpful attitude and strong customer service mindset are essential.

Licenses & Background Requirements

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Must maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (no more than 3 moving violations within 3 years).
  • Must successfully pass and maintain a clean background check.
  • No special certifications required.

  • Work may take place in various weather conditions (heat cold rain etc.).
  • Maintain professional appearance including uniform and grooming standards.
  • Must be available to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings including parking garages and active traffic areas.
  • Role involves regular interaction with team members clients vendors and guests; use of communication tools (phones radios); and operation of moving vehicles.

Technology & Communication Tools

  • Employees may be required to use personal cell phones for work-related communication and access to work systems or applications.
  • Reimbursement for work-related phone use will be provided in accordance with company policy.

Employee at Will:
Employment with PMC is on an at-will basis meaning either the employee or the employer may end the employment relationship at any time for any reason with or without cause or notice in accordance with applicable laws. A 120-day introductory period applies.

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA):
This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) meaning employees in this role is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at a rate of one and one-half times their regular hourly rate. PMC adheres to all applicable federal state and local wage and overtime laws ensuring that compensation complies with these legal standards. All hourly rates will meet or exceed the minimum wage requirements for your specific work location.
