MAIN TASKS:
Supports the deployment of the Air Defense System with the team by:
- Evaluating performance of radar and C2 equipment.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance in his specialty as required.
- Providing support to the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) engineerstechnicians in the field with any maintenance involving troubleshooting and repair of the radar and C2 systems to ensure the operability of the systems.
- Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics unit self-checks BITE and tools and test equipment.
- Log-book follow up and reporting.
- Inspection and periodic reporting of equipment serviceability.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform software maintenance troubleshooting and On the Job Training (OJT).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Senior Technician diploma in Electro-mechanics / Electricity
- Specialized training and certification in each area of expertise with Radars or/and C2 in general.
- You speak English (French & Arabic are an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills
EXPERIENCE
- Specialized knowledge and at least 3-5 years experience in the area of ground high power 3-D radar sensors and associated equipment including all system hardware and software elements.
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience on Radar or/and C2 systems.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with radar and/or C2 operation & maintenance.
- The technical knowhow should include Antennas Processors computers monitoring data transmission plot extractors power systems and other sub systems associated.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuits by visual inspection or by use of diagnostic software or test equipment.
- Experience in the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes digital multi-meters power meters and signal and pulse generators to test tune align adjust calibrate and troubleshoot communication equipment.
- Experience in a complex environment (multi-cultural multi-disciplinary matrix organization customer interactions etc)
- Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services.
