The School of Mathematics is one of the largest five schools within the Faculty and maintains dynamic collaborations with departments such as Physics and Astronomy Data Futures and Earth Atmosphere and Environment as well as faculties like Business and Economics Arts Medicine Information Technology and Engineering. The School has established strong partnerships with leading external institutions including CSIRO the Defence Science and Technology Organisation the National Australia Bank and numerous global research institutes and universities.

About the Role

We are seeking a Lecturer to join our collaborative and dynamic team. Reporting to the Head of the School of Mathematics the successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the teaching mission of the University. Responsibilities will include preparing and delivering lectures and applied classes developing course materials and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.

The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain and develop research expertise in Pure Mathematics and/or Mathematical Physics with a focus on areas such as algebraic combinatorics algebraic geometry geometric topology or quantum invariants.

This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic collaborative research environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and strong partnerships both locally and internationally.
