C- SA Surgical Assistant II- The Surgical Assistants primary responsibility is to assist the surgeon as first or second assistant in the Operating Room. The position also functions as a resource leader and coordinator to promote high quality cost effective health care services.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

  1. Current certification by NSAA or ABSA or other acceptable Surgical Assistant Certification (e.g. NBSTSA).
  2. Current CPR certification.
  3. Must be able to pass all hospital competencies required for the position.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Board certified (or eligible for certification) by National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA) or the American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) or other acceptable Surgical Assistant Certification (e.g. NBSTSA) and maintain a minimum CME.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Surgical Assistant in all surgical specialties and ability to use judgment in assessing the situation as it develops and responding appropriately.

Salary Range: Minimum$36.47/hour - Maximum$60.21/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
