We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional HSQE Manager Americas. This position will be based in Houston TX.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of global HSQE initiatives adapting strategies to regional specifics while aligning with Global HSQEs objectives.
Ensure adherence to DHL IP HSQE policies and procedures and compliance with international national and local HSQE legislation across their respective region as applicable.
Drive and foster the global HSQE strategy and culture amongst employees subcontractors vendors and suppliers.
Ensure all incidents are reported effectively and be the SME in providing support for Incident root cause analysis with operational and leadership teams. Where necessary lead investigation teams for significant events.
Partner with Operational Teams to ensure subcontractors are aware of and comply with DHL IP and client specific HSQE requirements through assessing and monitoring subcontractor HSQE capabilities and activities.
Partner with sales and bid teams for HSQE input in tenders RFQs and sales processes.
Identify and lead improvement initiatives for health safety and environmental practices within their regions.
Contribute to the development and management of project HSQE plans in collaboration with teams aligning with client and contractual requirements.
Regular travel across assigned regions to promote monitor and implement HSQE standards.
Collect and analyze HSQE performance data contributing to global KPIs and reporting systems.
Provide expert HSQE support and guidance to all regional teams on company client and site-specific HSQE requirements and best practices.
Identify and lead regional HSQE improvement initiatives aligning with global standards and implement and oversee regional HSQE improvement plans.
Establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships to drive and reinforce HSQE objectives.
Assist in the administration and implementation of HSQE training and development programs.
Work closely with Engineering function to provide guidance support and expertise in the development and review of engineering plans ensuring they incorporate HSQE considerations throughout the life cycle of projects whilst fostering a culture of innovation.
Skills / Requirements:
NEBOSH (International) General Certificate or equivalent in HSQE discipline
Certified within a recognized safety organization (IOSH/SIA etc.)
Recognized auditor in HSQE discipline (ISO 45001 and/or 14001)
Minimum of 7 years experience in health and safety with 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in transport lifting operations and training delivery.
Preferred: experience in OOG/heavy transport and lifting operations.
Working knowledge of safety management system applications
Pay Range: $130.011.00 - $173.349.00 (Based on Experience)
