We accept most insurance plans and provide clinic services to anyone in need regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. As a federally funded Community Health Center RiverStone Health Clinics offer a sliding fee scale that allows us to adjust charges for healthcare services based on income and family size. In addition we accept payment from Medicare Medicaid Healthy Montana Kids and private health insurance plans. If you are uninsured we can help you find health insurance coverage that fits your needs and your budget.
We provide care for the whole family from pre-natal care caring for infants and children to aging adults. We work with you in screening preventing and managing chronic diseases like diabetes asthma high blood pressure or heart disease. We can also help you get dental care or behavioral health counseling. The RiverStone Health Pharmacy is the only pharmacy on Billings South Side meeting the needs of our patients and community residents.
The position performs administrative and certain clinical duties. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments maintaining medical records billing and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories preparing patients for examination drawing blood and administering medications as directed.
A. Medical Assistant Services 10%
Communicate with patients collect and document information.
Record patients medical history vital statistics and other related information.
Schedule a variety of appointments and keep calendar(s) up to date.
Maintain and prepare patient charts and records.
Ensure all forms and documents are completed and forwarded as needed.
Prepare rooms for examination including setting up instruments and materials.
Clean and sanitize rooms and equipment.
Maintain supplies and supply rooms by ordering inventory and organizing.
Perform general office duties such as answering phones making copies completing forms etc.
Population health outreach for assigned providers patient panels
Perform point of care testing as needed
Answer patient questions and refer when needed.
Recognize and educate staff that managing patient care is a team effort that involves clinical and nonclinical staff (e.g. physicians nurse practitioners physician assistants nurses medical assistants educators front desk staff schedulers etc.) interacting with patients to achieve stated objectives
B. Refugee Coordinator/Peds Specialty Care Manager 85%
Refugee Coordinator:
Role is to ensure smooth care coordination between the refugees the resettlement agency case managers our clinic and other health service providers int eh community
At its peak anticipating 100 refugees per year
Agency will be using us as the healthcare provider to establish care for refugees when they newly arrive in the country
Refugees being settled into our area will be primarily Spanish-speaking but we should anticipate other languages as well
Examples of duties include:
Identify linguistically and culturally appropriate services available in our community and assist newly arrived refugees in accessing them.
Act as the MA in the medical visits for refugees.
Coordinate with resettlement agency case managers to establish care for newly arrived refugees within required timelines.
Assist refugees in accessing needing health services at RiverStone Health and other healthcare providers on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate with other agencies serving the refugee population in our community.
Complete monthly reporting required by DPHHS for funding for this role.
Pediatric Specialty Care Management:
Role is to ensure smooth care coordination between the patients we serve in our pediatric specialty clinic their families community support resources therapies and schools
Working collaboratively with our Team A nursing and MA staff on management of care
Assist with appointment reminders and follow up on paperwork (Vanderbilts)
Addressing barriers and assisting families in engaging in care
Developing relationships with community support resources
Maintain OneNote resources
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the RiverStones mission and goals.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Medical Assistant certification or
1 year of clinical experience
Any combination of experience and training which provide the equivalent scope of knowledge skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
