Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator to oversee all aspects of environmental health and safety compliance within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements industry best practices and risk management principles. This role requires excellent communication skills leadership abilities and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop implement and maintain comprehensive EHS programs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities equipment and processes to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with department managers and supervisors to ensure that EHS requirements are integrated into all aspects of operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS policies procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities including incident reports training records and regulatory permits.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies industry groups and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
  • Monitor emerging EHS trends regulations and technologies to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and serve as a member of the EHS committee.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental health and safety roles preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal state and local EHS regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments incident investigations and audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
