Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Role
This role is for a Frontend Software Engineer who will design implement and operate the frontend components of Kuipers network monitoring system. Youll work in a dynamic complex environment collaborating with diverse stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into intuitive efficient user interfaces. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a seamless frontend experience that interacts with backend APIs developed by our SDE teams. Youll build systems using the latest AWS technologies and frontend frameworks leveraging best-in-industry software engineering practices to deliver a world-class monitoring interface for Kuipers terrestrial devices.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
Actively participate in overall product strategy and UI presentation.
Be involved in every aspect of the UI for new features from idea generation exploring different design options and technical design through software development using the latest technologies and design patterns.
Collaborate with Software Development Engineers Product Managers UX Designers to ensure the best experience for our customers.
Design highly functional and lovable UI. The software must be well tested and high quality.
The UI must be compliant with accessibility standards set at Amazon.
Design and implement globally available distributed cloud architectures.
Partner with device software satellite networking and security engineering teams.

About the team
Our team owns developing the architecture solutions & roadmap for managing the network performance for telecom services.
- 2 years of non-internship professional front end web or mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS experience
- 1 years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- 1 years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML CSS JS TypeScript and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
