Overview

Manager RN Clinical Resources Team Technicians

M-F Days

$10000 Sign on bonus for external hires.

UnityPoint Health-Trinity is expanding our Nursing leadership team within Clinical Resource Team. This added leadership position reflects our continued growth and commitment to excellence in patient care.

Under the general direction of the Director of Critical Care/Clinical Resource Team the RN Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for coordinating planning and evaluating nursing procedures (primarily technicians) and personnel in the delivery of care to patients. Plans and problem solves with other department managers on issues relating to patient care.

Responsibilities

Operational & Staff Management/Leadership

  • Responsible for hiring evaluation and training development of department team.
  • Oversees the day-to-day management of the department and department staff establishing work assignments and schedules setting expectations and reviewing staff needs.
  • Provides leadership to the technicians that encourages staff empowerment decision-making and planning to ensure effective efficient operations.
  • Utilizes available tools and data to measure and monitor performance related to quality of care patient safety and patient satisfaction. Creates action plans for areas needing improvement.
  • Monitors and supervises implementation of the nursing process ensuring that documentation reflects the nursing process and compliance to appropriate practice guidelines.


Budget
/Financial Management

  • Properly manages budget to ensure efficient utilization of dollars and FTEs.
  • Prepares yearly operational budget and capital budget
  • Takes initiative to contain/reduce costs.
  • Actively seeks and identifies strategies or sources of revenue enhancement.
  • Monitors monthly revenue expenses and payroll.

Patient Care
Perform duties of Staff Nurse as needed which includes assessing patients condition developing patient care plans administering medication and documenting observation and treatments given.
Promotes positive medical staff relations.

Qualifications

Education:

Diploma from an RN Program BSN Preferred

Experience:

3 years management experience preferred

Licensure:

Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
