Job Description
TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. We are seeking an Intern to support the Help Desk team in our corporate office in Sioux Falls SD. In this role you will gain hands-on IT experience in a supportive team environment. You will assist our IT team in providing technical support and troubleshooting to users who encounter problems with their hardware software or network devices. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and grow your knowledge in a real-world setting.

The Role
- Assist the Help Desk team in responding to employee requests for basic IT support via phone email or ticketing system
- Help troubleshoot common computer printer and software issues
- Support users by providing simple instructions on how to use company systems and software
- Learn to escalate more complex problems to experienced technicians
- Help with setup installation or updates of computers and software under supervision
- Assist in keeping IT equipment and inventory organized and documented
- Learn and follow IT policies security practices and procedures
- Participate in team meetings training sessions and small projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
- Interest in IT computer systems or a related field (enrollment in a degree program is a plus)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and basic computer applications like Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn troubleshooting techniques and ask questions
- Good communication skills and a helpful customer-focused attitude
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Dependable and eager to grow in a team environment
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a drivers license is required if the role involves driving
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR Background Check Drug Screen)
