About the Role
Ventia are seeking dynamic and people-focused Safety Manager to lead SHEQ (Safety Health Environment and Quality) performance across our project. This role is central to driving cultural transformation through the LEAD behaviours-Learning Engaging Accountability and Discipline-as part of Ventias Elevate Safety Leadership Excellence Program.
To perform your duties as the SHEQ Manager this role will be based in our head office in East Perth with adhoc travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Culture: Champion the Elevate program by modelling and embedding LEAD behaviours to foster a culture of care accountability and innovation.
- Project & Risk Management: Plan and coordinate assurance audit and risk management initiatives to meet regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Performance & Compliance: Monitor SHEQ performance identify trends and implement proactive strategies to improve safety outcomes and reduce risk.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders aligning SHEQ strategies with business and customer expectations.
- Team Development: Recruit coach and develop a high-performing SHEQ team supporting their growth and aligning their efforts with business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead incident investigations audits and reviews to drive learning and continuous improvement across the project.
To be successful you will have the following
- 5 years in similar industry services or construction organisation
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A collaborative and customer-focused mindset.
- Proven ability to lead cultural change and influence behaviour.
- Experience in SHEQ systems compliance and assurance frameworks.
- Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
