Job Description
Mechanical (Pump or Rotating Equipment) Engineer
For over 75 years Cascade Pump has been a leader in Low Lift high volume Industrial water pump manufacturing. We are looking for a CNC Machinist to program and operate horizontal and vertical Lathes for production of large industrial water pump parts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings bills or materials and job order work instructions required to manufacture custom engineered pumps.
- Interface with Project Managment Purchasing and Manufacturing on requirements.
- Communicate engineering and manufacturing issues with Management.
- Make vendor ready manufacturing prints and material requirements.
- Coatings
- Purchased parts.
- Outsource machiningand/or other manufacturing process drawings.
Skills Required:
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree
- Autodesk Inventor 3D AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering design drawings.
- Ability to create general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) drawings.
- Experience with rotating equipment (pumps specifically) and pumping systems.
- Experience designing or working in a manufacturing environment including machining fabrication welding and assembly.
- Strong communication skills
